This morning I get to go to a kindergarten open house and tour Griffin's school for next year. I was telling him about it and said something like, "I can't wait to tell you about it". Griffin said, "I hope you say, it's fagulous". I am still giggling about that one.

Name calling

We have been working on the topic of name calling with the kids a lot lately. There is a kid named Ben in Griffin's class who seems to be the target of the names mostly. So from time to time, I check in to make sure that he isn't being extra mean to Ben. When I asked today, he said that the kids weren't too mean today. So no name calling. Then he said, "usually we call him mail apple or cheese mouse". That seems better than what they called him before..."C-A-T bottom". And they spell it out like that. When you ask if they are calling Ben a cat bottom, they are very serious that it is not cat but "C-A-T" bottom. As if this makes any sense, but you gotta love 5 year old logic.

Sandwich love

Today Griffin decided to make a sandwich which is pretty rare for him. The kid has eaten MAYBE 4 sandwiches in his whole life. But today he made one with potato bread, turkey, celery, and sugar snap peas. He ate most of it and kept saying, "this sandwich is bringing the love...sandwich love". Not sure where he came up with that one.

Better late than never

It takes too long to upload pics sometimes on the blog, so I have been procrastinating. Here are some pictures from Allison and Adam's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding in Birmingham on January 2nd. Here are Allison and I at the bridesmaids' luncheon at Brio. Allison with her friends, Amanda, Courtney, and Kira.
Allison and Kelly on the morning of the wedding. Her friend, Liz, did her hair and makeup at her house.

The final result- a beautiful bride.
Gray was a ring bearer.

Griffin took his ring bearer responsibilities very seriously.
He also fell in lover with Amanda Foley.

Snowed in

So we got about 14 inches of snow on Saturday. We haven't been outside as much this time. It is just too cold. Our house isn't much better. It is a less than balmy 50ish degrees downstairs, so we built a fire for the first time. Here are the guys warming up their toes. Daddy and Ashby. She has slept like a rock star this weekeend- been awake maybe 5 hours total all day. Repeat for yesterday and today so far!
Little Miss Thang has decided to start crawling more.
Ashby and Gray have become buddies. He loves to play with her on the floor.
This morning I came downstairs to find Gray reading his Childrens Bible to Ashby. Of course the sweetness doesn't last...they are all bickering most of the day and tired of being stuck inside.
