My allergy boy

This picture does not do him justice, but Gray is definitely showing signs of having seasonal allergies. Our poor little guy has been rubbing his nose and sneezing and scratching at his skin for the past week. His pediatrician put him on Zyrtec which is helping a bit, but he always wakes up with such a swollen little face with his eyes barely open. This is a picture of him eating breakfast this morning.

Griffin's pretend birthday

Since Griffin has a July birthday, his preschool had a pretend birthday party for him yesterday. He requested "spider cupcakes" so this is a picture of what we took in. Here he is with his birthday crown and the special birthday book that his class made for him.

His heart was in the right place

On Thursday Griffin wanted to pick me a flower. His heart was in the right place. He tried to pick a tulip from out front and ended up ripping the entire bulb out. He was hysterical about it. I couldn't help getting a picture of him after he did it. Such a sweet sensitive boy sometimes.

Easter

This is about a week late, but here are some pictures from Easter morning. The kids loved their Easter pails. Gray liked his bunny bubbles.

Griffin loved his diving sticks.
At church we had a quick Easter egg hunt (#4 of this year) between Sunday School and church.
We took some pictures in the Memorial Garden after church. Mommy and the boys.
The four of us.
On Saturday we accepted a contract on our house. So this is the new sign out front. Now we just have to find a new house in 6 weeks or so.
A quick shot of the boys in their Easter outfits in front of our tulips. The tulips came out great this year.

Spring at the botanical gardens

On Thursday we went to the botanical gardens for the morning with Joey, Kaleigh, and Meghan. It was beautiful weather. Here are some pictures of the flowers on the way to the conservatory.
Inside the conservatory.
Griffin and Kaleigh being nosey and getting a tutorial on how to skim the water in the pools.

There was a really cool "field" of shiny blue and silver pinwheels in the Children's Garden. Gray loved watching them spin and see the light reflect off of them.
Griffin had a good time climbing the mulberry tree.
Kaleigh and Griffin in the tree just hanging out.
Gray's buddy, Meghan.
The little ones had fun in the sandbox.
Gray smelling the tulips.
Up in the treehouse...the view of the grounds and lake is amazing.
Gray relaxing in the rocking chairs. If you thought I was going to get the chips away from him, you are crazy. Believe me, I tried. That boy loves his food.

Playgroup egg hunt

Last weekend we had our annual playgroup Easter Egg hunt and potluck at the Edwards' house. It was a great time as always, and their family really outdid themselves with planning fun activities for the kids to do. We had an Easter egg hunt, visit from the Easter bunny, dying Easter eggs, and decorating Easter cupcakes. It was a beautiful day. Gray got the hang of "hunting" for the eggs a little more this time. But he still got bored and started playing soccer with the balls in the yard:)

Griffin on a mission to find eggs.
Gray looking handsome in his pink shirt. Real men wear pink. Or at least that is what I told him.
A quick picture of our family.

Griffin paying the Easter bunny a visit. He quickly informed everyone there that this was "not the real Easter bunny" because he "saw some skin under the costume". Gray wouldn't even get close to the bunny for a picture.
Getting ready to dye eggs.
Two pregnant ladies due in July. Elisa is having twins:)
Griffin loved eating his bunny cupcake.
A quick picture of the bunny bread and veggie dip I made for the potluck. Brent was not impressed.

the first of 4 egg hunts

Today my friend, Heather, hosted an Easter Egg hunt at her house. Unfortunately we had rain, so we had the egg hunt in her basement. The kids ranged in age from newborn to 7. It was a little crazy. Both boys were a little off today. Griffin got a nose bleed (after an encounter with a light saber to the nose) before it all started. Gray has been a pain today. I think allergies have kicked in. He is super drooly and has a runny nose. Just a pain. He didn't want to do to egg hunt but eventually got into it when I told him we were picking up "balls". He was fond of the miniature Snickers candy.
Meghan liked her candy too.
Both boys with their Easter baskets.
Kaleigh hunting eggs.
Griffin had a great time.
A cute picture of some of the girls today- Grace, Avery, Payton, and Sophie. The boys ran away as soon as I took my camera out.

Speed Racer

I know this is old, but Brent ran the 10K here last Saturday. He thought he was slow, but I am impressed with anyone that can run 6 miles after training for a short time. Way to go, Honey:)
