Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Gray has been singing more and more lately, and I finally got around to taping him singing his favorite song, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. It is hard to understand but parts are getting clearer:)

TV trivia

Griffin has had a lot of TV time lately especially when I am trying keep the house clean. This has been pretty evident to me based on some of the topics Griffin has brought up lately. This morning he was talking about how we live in outer space on the planet Earth. And that the planet was blue. Then this afternoon he was talking about stalagtites and stalagmites and describing them. So even though I feel guilty that he is watching tv more than I would like, he is learning something.

Happy Birthda a few months early

Gray really loves to sing, although, it is kind of hard to tell what he is singing sometimes. His new favorite is the Happy Birthday song. He kind of slurs together the "Happy Birthday" part and jumps in with "to you" really loud. Over the past few days, he has been singing "Happy Birthday to you (some unintelligible word) Mama" over and over. Pretty cute to be serenaded by him every morning.

Big Day

It seems like big days for our family also coincide with days that are easy to remember for other reasons. So today is Inaguration Day for our country, but for the Belding fam, it is also the day that our house is officially on the market. I don't expect much to happen right away but I am hopeful that we will sell it and find another house before the baby comes in June or July:) Wish us luck!

The latest

We have had another busy week. Mostly still trying to declutter our house, pack up boxes, clean, and stage our house before we put it on the market. Our realtor took photos yesterday and we sign the paperwork on Saturday. On Inaguration Day our house officially hits the MLS. Not sure how that will go, but I guess we have to take a chance to see how the market really is. Hopefully it won't take forever. Wish us luck.

Griffin's class had a field trip to the Teddy Bear clinic at the hospital this week. He took Jackie, his dog, to the clinic and he got a cast on his leg. Apparently Jackie was jumping on something and pretending he was surfing and he hurt his leg. This is the much condensed version of what Griffin relayed to us. Then I got the Guilty Mother award because Griffin told me that I was the "only mom who didn't go on the field trip". The verdict is still out on that one. I guess I will find out who went. Gray is copying Griffin in every way. This is just one way- wearing his sunglasses or "super goggles". Another way may or may not be trying to slide down the steps on his stomach. I keep trying to remind Griffin not to do too much wild stuff because Gray is right behind him doing the same thing.
The boys have been playing together a lot more. Saturday they were watching Tom and Jerry in their pjs. Gray rarely watches tv but is getting into that cartoon a little bit.
One of their favorite toys....riding in the laundry basket. This is usually followed by the basket tipping and someone hitting their head on the floor.
Yesterday Griffin constructed a rather elaborate space ship out of some mixing bowls. He had a great time flying into space. Although the bad part was that he expected Mommy to sit in the back seat (check out the size of that bowl and be impressed at how small he thinks my butt is). I cooperated a few times but then my butt was tired of that game.

Way Behind

So I am way behind on posting pics from our Christmas this year. Partially because we got a new camera for Christmas and partially because I just can't seem to motivate to blog lately. Maybe it is being pregnant, tired, and trying to get our house ready to sell. Just maybe. So here are some pictures from our trip to Indiana. We vsited Brent's family for Christmas this year. It was very nice. We drove all day Christmas and got in late that night. Then we got back on the 30th. Our trip was pretty busy- a few different family Christmas celebrations and a retirement party for Linda. There are also some pictures of us at the Children's Museum. So here are the pics...
Our niece, Kara, opening her gifts.

Shari was excited to open her pajamas.
Silhouettes of the boys for Grandma.
Ted made a beautiful case for Great Grandpa's flag.
Griffin in his Helmet Heros helmet. He spend a lot of time running in circles. Surprise surprise.

Gray snuggling with Grandpa.

Opening gifts at Roger and Anita's house. Here are Craig, Hasmig, and Bennett.
Mollie showing off one of her gifts.
On the carousel at the Children's Museum.
Designing a dinosaur on the computer.
Gray loved spending time with his cousin, Rachael.
Climbing into the mummy exhibit.
Riding home eating hashbrowns. I am ashamed to say that one of Gray's few words is "Don" which refers to McDonalds. It might have something to do with Mommy's morning sickness diet of hashbrowns and egg mcmuffin with no egg almost every day. Poor kid. He will eat veggies someday.
